Recently, according to Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), a display field analyst, because Applewill use OLED panels instead of Mini LED panels in its iPad tablet and subsequent MacBook notebook computers, they believe that the growth of Mini LED panel shipments will continue until 2024 at the most, but will basically stop from 2025.

Analysts predict that the shipment of Mini LED panels will reach 24.47 million pieces this year and 30.23 million pieces in 2024. DSCC said in its forecast that from 2025 to 2027, the annual shipment will remain at about 30 million pieces. At the same time, the use of Mini LED panels will shift to TV and display fields within three years, while the use of notebook computers will gradually decline.

Since Apple introduced the iPad and Macbook into the Mini LED display in 2021, its performance has been very bright. With the help of M1 and M2 series processors, these two product lines have become an important source of Apple's revenue. However, the company is expected to start applying OLED panels on the iPad next year, and then will also turn to OLED panels on the Macbook in 2025, until the advent of Micro-LED.

At the same time, however, Mini LED is still widely used in high-end TV products by Samsung and other TV manufacturers. DSCC expects that this will continue until 2027.
