HKC launches the world's first CR2400 technology MNT panel

Recently, HKC announced the launch of the world's first MNT panel, successfully breaking the industry dilemma of high contrast and sustainable development of LCD panels with its independently developed CR2400 technology.

Contrast Ratio (CR) is one of the core indicators for measuring the optical performance of display devices, and its value is the ratio of the maximum brightness (white) to the minimum brightness (black) of the screen. For example, CR2400:1 represents that the brightness of white areas can reach 2400 times that of black areas. Higher contrast means better levels of brightness and dark details, especially important in HDR imaging, professional design, and immersive gaming scenes.

HKC Huike stated that traditional LCD technology currently relies on photo alignment process to improve contrast, but this technology has three major bottlenecks:

Import dependence: requires the purchase of high priced photosensitive materials and precision UV exposure equipment;

High energy consumption: UV lamps account for 15% to 20% of the total energy consumption in panel production, and have a short lifespan and high maintenance costs;

Environmental risk: UV lamps contain mercury, and improper disposal can easily cause soil and water pollution.

HKC CR2400 technology solves the problem of dark light leakage by optimizing the Rubbing Alignment process, increasing the static contrast ratio to 2400:1, reaching the leading level in the LCD panel industry. It has become the world's first display panel enterprise to achieve CR2400 through friction alignment, breaking the performance monopoly of light alignment technology.

In addition, this technology can reduce costs by 30%, eliminate the need for imported materials and equipment investment in the light alignment process, and achieve localization of the supply chain; Reduce energy consumption by 50%, save 2kW · h in single panel production, and reduce energy consumption per unit output by 50% compared to traditional processes; To avoid the risk of mercury pollution from UV lamps and reduce the environmental footprint of production processes, a single production line can reduce carbon emissions by 800 tons per year (equivalent to the annual emissions of 300 fuel powered cars).
