According to The Elec, a South Korean news agency, Chinese panel maker BOE plans to build a display module factory in Bac Ninh province in northern Vietnam. Reuters reported in January that BOE planned to invest $400 million to build two factories in Vietnam, but the location was not disclosed.

In Bac Ninh province, in the north of Vietnam, the company plans to produce a variety of small and medium size display panels, including organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) and liquid crystal displays (LCD), its panels are supplied to Apple, mainly for iPhone SE (4th generation). BOE Bac Ninh plant is planned to be completed and put into operation in 2025.
