Data show that in January, the standing motion rate of domestic LCD panel factories decreased significantly by 8.5% month-on-month, only to 64.7%. The standing motion rate of G8.5/8.6 production line decreased by as much as 9.2% month-on-month, to 64.8%, while that of G10.5/G11 production line decreased significantly by 16% month-on-month, only to 62.6%. Since the previous price increase trend of panel was lower than expected, major panel factories increased their efforts to control output at the beginning of the year, arranged annual repair during the Spring Festival, and actively reduced the amount of film production to cope with the Spring Festival holiday and the impact of the off-season in overseas markets. It is expected that the rate will rise to around 70 percent in February with the end of the short-term adjustment, and that it will continue to rise in March depending on price conditions.
On the other hand, statistics from CINNO Research show that, looking back at the panel prices in January, the prices of 32 "~55" still remained sideways, in line with expectations, while the prices of 65 "and 75" panels increased by $3 and $2 more than expected, mainly because panel manufacturers increased their efforts to reduce the operation rate, resulting in short-term price upward pressure on most brands. The increase in the price of large panels, the main driver of revenue, became more pronounced in January as more end brands accepted price increases from panel manufacturers than in December. It is expected that in February, as more terminal factories accept price increases, LCD TV panel prices will usher in a small round of comprehensive pull up, the main specifications of the increase in 1~5 dollars, of which 65 "expected to rise the highest, up to 5 dollars. Due to the low inventory level of the previous channel and price increase expectations on the short-term stimulation of stock, the panel factory may appear in February to March panel prices and the recovery of the short-term favorable situation, but the demand side still needs to pay close attention to the situation.
