At the same time, Samsung Electronics has produced the first batch of flagship products such as Galaxy S series and foldable series in its factories in Tortoise Tail, Gyeongsang Hokkaido or Vietnam, and will transfer some products to India for production after a period of time.
Due to the high technical difficulty of the main products, such as the installation of high-performance components, they adopted the method of dividing manufacturing roles after stable production.
It is not common for Samsung to produce flagship products directly in India. Since it is the model representing the company, the smallest quality problem may be fatal. This is why Samsung has shifted its smartphone production base to China and Vietnam, and mainly produces flagship models in Tortoise Tail.
The shift in production strategy is interpreted as a strong willingness to bet on the Indian market. According to the data of Canalys, a market research company, Samsung Electronics ranked first in the Indian smartphone market with 21% market share in the fourth quarter of last year. After falling to the third place after the third quarter of 2017, it regained the first place after several years.
