LG Display has reportedly been supplying OLED panels with LTPO technology to Apple since the end of last month. LG is understood to have suffered delays in first production of the new iPhone before its launch, but it has now received final approval from Apple after going through a technical replenishment process. This is the first time LG Display has provided LTPO OLED to Apple for mass production of mobile products. Apple's LTPO OLED, first used in the iPhone 13 series released last year, is a technology that significantly reduces the power consumption of mobile devices and is technically difficult. Especially with the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max, there is a very high technical bar to offer a top-of-the-line model like this with LTPO OLED and a perforated display. After the release of the iPhone 14 series, Samsung Display exclusively supplies the display screens for the Pro series. Samsung Display posted its highest profit ever in the third quarter by exclusively supplying OLED panels for the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
