On December 13, BOE recently launched BOE's self-developed LCD NFC In-cell screen integration solution. According to reports, the scheme is to integrate the NFC coil in the LCD display, the screen can indicate the card position, and achieve positive card swiping when the user operates, human-machine interface interaction, what you see is what you get, which greatly improves the user experience. At the same time, the scheme also integrates TDDI touch design to achieve display, touch, NFC in one screen, and a screen to achieve multiple functions.
Specifically, the scheme uses a grid design to integrate the NFC coil onto the TFT substrate. Therefore, there is no need to increase the number of Mask layers, reducing the occupation of the pixel display area.
At the same time, the scheme uses a metal with higher conductivity to further reduce the coil impedance, improve the antenna performance, and the signal is stronger. Compared with the traditional NFC reader card products, the independent NFC antenna components are omitted and the whole machine space is saved.
At the same time, the scheme also adds a Tx signal line in the pixel, and realizes the TDDI (touch and display driver integration) touch design. When the NFC drive power is enhanced, the conventional noise filtering algorithm cannot completely solve the interference of NFC noise and affect the Touch signal.
In this regard, BOE proposed a new time-sharing driver scheme, which does not affect the Touch and NFC functions, so that TDDI IC can adopt different working modes according to the strength and duration of NFC signal.
When the NFC interference is strong and lasts a long time, the IC reduces the point or no point, so as to avoid the simultaneous operation of NFC and Touch. When the NFC interference is weak and the duration is short, TDDI IC adopts a new noise filtering algorithm to enhance the NFC noise filtering ability, so that the NFC driver and Touch do not interfere with each other.
