At a recent seminar for display panel analysts, Yoon Dae-Jeong, a researcher at UBI Research, revealed that BOE's OLED panel for the iPhone appears to have encountered some performance issues, which has led Apple to delay the mass production and launch of the iPhone SE 4.

Due to the special specifications of the cheaper LTPS OLED screen required for the iPhone SE 4, Samsung and LG are not interested in it, and BOE is expected to become a supplier. However, due to unexpected circumstances, Samsung and LG may rejoin the order race.

The 6.1-inch OLED screen for the iPhone SE 4 reportedly costs about $40, while the 6.7-inch OLED screen for the iPhone 14 Pro Max costs even more than $100.
